What the numbers are
Non-union rates come as ranges. A range shows you what a job like yours usually pays, and you decide where inside it your quote lands. Union rates are exact figures because they come straight from the published union scale agreements. They are the minimum a signatory production is allowed to pay you, and you are always free to negotiate above them. When a job needs a figure the references do not list directly, the calculator works it out from the published rules and tells you so in the notes of your quote.
