Terms of Service

The agreement for using the calculator, and an honest account of what the numbers are and are not.

Last updated August 5, 2026  ·  Effective August 3, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and VO Rate Calculator for the use of VO Rate Calculator. Using the service means you accept them.

What the service is

A tool that estimates voiceover fees. You choose the usage, the market and the term, and it returns a rate range with the working shown.

It is a calculator. It is not an agent, not a contract, not legal or financial advice, and not a guarantee of what any client will pay.

The numbers, and what they are not

The figures are estimates for setting your own prices. They are not a price list, not a fixed or minimum rate, and not a recommendation about what anyone else should charge.

Non‑union figures are averaged from industry references and offered as information, not as fixed pricing. Union figures reflect scale, which is a contractual minimum for signatory work, not a ceiling.

You set your own rates independently.

Rate guides change and sources can contain errors. Confirm a number against its source before you send a quote that depends on it. See Sources.

Your account

One account is for one person. Sign‑in is by a code we email you, so keep that inbox secure: anyone who can read it can get into your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@voratecalculator.com if you think someone else has got in.

Subscription

Access requires an active subscription, either $2.99 per month or $28.70 per year, which renews automatically until you cancel. The full billing, cancellation and refund terms are on the Billing & Refunds page and form part of this agreement.

Fair use

Use the calculator for as many of your own jobs as you like, and export or share your own quotes freely. Do not resell or republish the rate data, scrape the library by automated means, share one account between several people, or attack the service.

Who owns what

Your quotes and the client details you enter are yours, and you can export or delete them at will. The software, the interface and the calculation logic are ours. The underlying rate figures originate with the industry references named on the Sources page. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any union, guild, academy or other organisation.

Availability and disclaimers

We aim to keep the service running and the rates current, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, subscribers get reasonable notice and billing stops.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and we do not warrant that the figures are accurate, current, or suitable for any particular job.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or underpriced work. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it. Some places do not allow these exclusions, so parts of this may not apply to you, and nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending it

Cancel any time from Manage billing, or delete your account entirely from Dashboard. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms, and will normally explain why and give you a chance to put it right first.

Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms. The effective date changes, and subscribers hear about significant changes by email before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Florida, United States, and nothing here removes consumer rights you have where you live.
