These terms are the agreement between you and Rockstar Health Industries Corporation for the use of VO Rate Calculator. Using the service means you accept them.
What the service is
VO Rate Calculator is a tool that estimates voiceover fees. You choose the usage, the market, and the term; it returns a rate range built from published industry rate references, with the working shown.
It is a calculator and a reference library. It is not an agent, not a contract, not legal or financial advice, and not a guarantee of what any client will pay.
The numbers, and what they are not
This is the most important section on this page, so it is not buried at the bottom.
The figures this service produces are estimates for your own use in setting your own prices. They are not a price list, not a fixed or minimum rate, and not a recommendation about what anyone else should charge.
The non‑union figures come from the GVAA Rate Guide, which its publisher makes available as an educational and informational resource and expressly not as fixed pricing. Union figures are SAG‑AFTRA scale, which is a contractual minimum for signatory work, not a ceiling and not a suggestion.
You set your own rates. Independent professionals must decide their prices independently, and nothing here should be treated as an agreement or understanding with anyone else about pricing.
We take accuracy seriously and check every figure against its published source, but rate guides change, sources can contain errors, and our reading of a source can be wrong. Always confirm a number with the original source before you send a quote that depends on it. See Sources for exactly where each figure comes from.
Your account
- You need a working email address. Sign-in is by a code we email you.
- Keep access to that inbox secure. Anyone who can read your email can get
into your account.
- One account is for one person. Do not share your sign-in codes.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us promptly at rider@ridervo.com if you think someone
else has got in.
Subscription and payment
Access to the calculator requires an active subscription at $2.99 per month, which renews automatically until you cancel. The full billing, cancellation and refund terms are on the Billing & Refunds page and form part of this agreement.
Fair use
Please do:
- Use the calculator for your own quoting, for as many jobs as you like.
- Save quotes, export them, and share individual quote links with clients.
Please do not:
- Resell, redistribute, or republish the rate data as a dataset or a competing
rate service.
- Scrape or bulk-extract the reference library by automated means. Your own
data is yours and there is an export button for exactly that.
- Share one account between several people, or resell access.
- Attack the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without telling us, or
interfere with anyone else's use of it.
- Use the service unlawfully, or to help anyone else do so.
Who owns what
- Yours. The quotes you build and save, and the client details you enter.
We claim no ownership of them, and you can export or delete them at will.
- Ours. The software, the interface, the design, the calculation logic,
and the way the data is organised and presented.
- Third parties'. The underlying rate figures are published by the
organisations named on the Sources page. We use them as a factual reference with attribution; we do not claim to own them, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any of them. SAG‑AFTRA and the Global Voice Acting Academy are not partners in this product.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running and the rates current, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give subscribers reasonable notice and stop billing.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the figures are accurate, current, or suitable for any particular job.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business, or underpriced work, arising from your use of the service.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending it
You can cancel any time from Manage billing, or delete your account entirely from My studio. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms, and will normally explain why and give you a chance to put it right first.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top will change, and for significant changes we will notify subscribers by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the update.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes consumer rights you have under the law of your own country of residence.
